ADRIAN, Mich.--The Adrian College American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I women's ice hockey team received numerous postseason awards after the Bulldogs finished with a 20-7-1 overall record and trip to the national semifinals.

Juniors Jessie Rushing (Hernando, Miss./St. Louis Jr. Blues), a forward, and Jess Fabbro (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario/Burlington Barracudas), a defenseman, were selected to the ACHA D-I All-National Tournament Second Team. The pair helped the Bulldogs claim the top seed at the ACHA Finals by winning Pool B 3-0, outscoring Massachusetts (3-1), Rhode Island (7-3) and Miami-Ohio (4-3). Adrian fell to Grand Valley State, 2-1 in overtime, in the National Semifinals. In four ACHA tournament games, Fabbro had a goal and three assists while Rushing chipped in three assists.

Freshman forward Kaillie Hardy, of Waterloo, Ontario (KW Rangers), and Fabbro headlines Adrian's presence at the Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association level, both making All-Season CCWHA First Team. Hardy took the conference by storm ranking second with 1.14 points per game. She tallied team-leading totals of 18 goals, 15 assists and 33 total points. Fabbro added 5+9=14 scoring totals from the point.

Sophomore goalie Alison Dungey (Hamilton, Ontario / Hamilton Hawks) compiled a 13-6-1 record, .927 save percentage, 1.57 goals-against average to place second-team All-Season CCWHA. She tied for second with two league shutouts and was third in GAA.

Senior forward Summer Frey (Garden City, Mich. / Michigan Ice Dogs) earned a spot on the All- CCWHA Tournament second team.

Adrian went 11-1-1 with an overtime loss to finish in second place in the conference standings with 23 points. (Technically, Adrian tied Miami-Ohio for points but the RedHawks won the tiebreaker criteria.)

Two Bulldogs also were recognized for their efforts off the ice at the national level, as senior forward Nichole Laflamme (White Lake, Mich./Victory Honda) received the ACHA D-I Off-Ice MVP award and Senior goalie Ellyn Stanton (Washington, Pa. / Steel City Selects) ACHA D-I Women's Community Playmaker. Laflamme served as AC class president, performed over 40 hours of community service, and managed the Bulldogs' Twitter account, while scoring 12 goals and 11 assists as the team's fourth-leading scorer with 23 points. Stanton (7-1, 1.30 GAA, .907 Save%, CCWHA-leading four shutouts) was a broadcaster for Adrian College Television, served as a sideline reporter for football home games on the Buckeye Sports CableSystem, helped produce AC Media House segments.
