Join the Adrian College ACHA Women's Division I ice hockey team as the program conducts a Goal-A-Thon during the 2016-17 season.
The Bulldogs are holding this fundraiser in order to raise money for The Wounded Warrior Project, which is a non-profit organization that provides programs, services and events for wounded veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
Tara Wrbelis, who wears No. 6 and a defenseman for the Bulldogs, said “there’s really no way to thank them, but this is a start and an awesome opportunity to make a huge difference.”
The Bulldogs encourage donors pledge a dollar amount for every goal scored during their season to raise these funds to assist the WWP organization. Samantha Fortune – No. 91 and a forward for the Bulldogs – mentioned, “It’s really a huge motivation for us as players to work hard and score as many goals as possible considering how many goals we score will determine how much we raise for this terrific cause.”
At the completion of the 2016-17 season, the Bulldogs will use the money raised to make a donation to The Wounded Warrior Project, hoping to make a huge difference for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
