Grizzlies stifle Bulldogs in road contest

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Bulldogs travelled to Franklin College Tuesday night to take on the Grizzlies. Adrian was in a battle at the half, 30-28, but could not take over after the break losing the half 34-25 and the game 64-53. This loss dropped the Bulldogs to 0-3 on the season.

The first half was a battle through the first 11 minutes as the teams traded lead changes and tied the score six times. The Bulldogs then found themselves looking up at a 25-16 deficit, and responded with a commanding 20 point run over the 3:44 of the game to take the lead 26-25. The half concluded with another lead change and another tied score, and the Grizzlies edged Adrian at the break, 30-28. Brad Hohman led the Bulldogs with eight points and three rebounds for the half.

The second half started with Franklin taking charge with a twelve point run over 3:18 of play to take a 42-29 lead with 14:33 left to play. This left the game in the grasp of the Grizzlies, and the Bulldogs were never able to break their grip as Franklin carried at least a six point lead the rest of the way. Adrian fought hard throughout the second half led once again by Hohman as he tallied six points and five rebounds for the half.

Hohman led Adrian for the game as he finished with 14 points, five rebounds and one block. Ben Rodak compiled 10 points, three rebounds and one steal. Rickey Jackson came off of the bench to total nine points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

The Bulldogs will play next in the "Battle for the Milk Jug" against cross town rival Siena Heights on Tuesday, November 26 at 8 p.m. This will be the 2013-14 home debut for the Bulldogs.
