Bulldogs Nipped by Case Western Reserve 67-60

ADRIAN, Mich. – Junior forward Ben Rodak scored 16 points and junior Rickey Jackson, Jr. added 12 in a 67-60 loss to Case Western Reserve (6-1) on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs (2-4) played the Spartans tough in the first half and trailed 32-31 at the break. In the second half, the Spartans shot 58.8 percent from the floor and limited the Bulldogs to 39.3 percent from the floor including 4-of-14 from behind the arc.

There were seven ties and nine lead changes in the contest and a late cold shooting stretch for the Bulldogs could not allow them back into the game. Adrian made just five field goals in the final 7:30 of the game as Case stretched their lead to double figures with under 2:30 to play.

Dane McLoughlin led the Spartans with 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Jamison Webster had a season-high nine assists to go along with eight points and six rebounds for Adrian. Curtis Gordon and Justin Webster each had nine points. Webster scored all of his points in the second half and grabbed three boards.
