MEQUON, Wis.--The nationally-ranked Adrian College offense scored three first-period goals, and the Bulldogs' defense did the rest, in a 3-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association men's victory on Saturday evening.

= Eric Therrien scored the Falcons' lone goal, his fifth of the season.
= Jon Brumwell (3) and Josh Adkins (9) picked up assists on that scoring play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= Adrian outshot CUW 40 to 26, including the decisive first period by an 18-6 margin.
= McCloy and Brothers scored exactly 2 minutes apart beginning at the 9-minute, 35-second mark into the first period to stake Adrian to a 2-0 advantage.
= Sophomore Trevor Boyd scored the game's final tally with 87 seconds left to make it 3-0 Adrian after 20 minutes.
= Therrien broke up Entmaa's shutout bid late in the second period.
= The Adrian defense killed off all seven CUW power-play attempts and limited the Falcons to an average of 10 shots over the final two periods. Defenders also blocked shots or limited CUW from long range.

= Adrian has won four games in a row, allowing just 1.5 goals per game.
= Adrian is 36-0 lifetime against CUW, and the 36 victories are the most over any opponent.
