No. 1-Ranked Men's Hockey Runs Win Streak to 10 on Taylor McCloy's Power Play Goal

LAKE FOREST, Ill.--Senior assistant captain Taylor McCloy potted his team-leading 13th goal of the season with top-ranked Adrian College on the power play in the third period, lifting the Bulldogs to a 2-1 victory Friday over host Lake Forest College in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association men's action.

TOP 'DAWGS
= Junior defenseman Cameron Cooper tallied Adrian's other goal.

= Classmate Kevin Entmaa stopped 26 of 27 shots he faced between the pipes, improving to 11-2 on the season.

= Defensemen Joey Colatarci, a sophomore, and Cooper paced the AC offense with four shots apiece. 

THE OPPOSITION
= Cody Guidorzi scored the lone Lake Forest goal.

= Louis-Philippe De Courcy (L, 8-7-1) had 20 saves on the 22 shots he faced.

= Billy Kent led all skaters with five shots on goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= After Ryan Kruss took a 2-minute minor penalty for cross-checking at 8 minutes and 21 seconds into the third period, Adrian capitalized 15 seconds later on the man-advantage. McCloy took a feed from senior captain Mathew Thompson while classmate Kyle Brothers also received an assist on the play.

= Lake Forest tied it 1-1 at 7:00 into the second period when Mark DerManulian passed to Cody Guidorzi for his eighth goal of the season.

= Cooper staked Adrian to a 1-0 lead at the 4:01 mark of the opening period, as junior assistant captain Cory Dunn picked up his team-leading totals of 21 assists and 24 total points.    

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= With University of New England's 5-3 home loss to Curry, Adrian now owns the longest winning streak in NCAA Division III at 10-straight.

= The Bulldogs sweep Lake Forest in the regular season after winning 5-2 at home on Jan. 12, improving to 25-0-1 all-time against the Foresters since the series began on Nov. 20-21, 2009. Adrian is a Baker's Dozen (13-0) at Lake Forest.

= The Adrian defense has surrendered just 12 goals in its last 10 contests, winning three one-goal games during that stretch.

= Brothers extended his career scoring totals to 48+92=140 as he is Adrian's active leader with 92 points and 140 points. He is sixth and tied for seventh, respectively, on those Bulldog all-time lists.

= Entmaa reached career milestones with 40 victories and 1300 saves (1305).

= Adrian clinched the NCHA South Division top seed for the Harris Cup Playoffs.

= Senior assistant captain Blake Butzow returned to the Adrian lineup after missing the last 17 games due to an injury. The defenseman had been out since Nov. 17 at Trine.
