OLIVET, Mich. – The men's lacrosse team continued to breeze through the MIAA on Tuesday night with a 15-5 win at Olivet College. The Bulldogs are now 4-0 in the conference and have outscored their opponents, 70-24, in the process.
Adrian scored the first six goals of the game and led 6-1 after the first quarter. Eric Fannell scored two of those goals while A.J. Smith, Tom Thielman, Doug Boyd and Nick Karapas also scored in the quarter. Adrian scored the first seven goals of the second quarter to lead 13-1. Drake Dailey-Chwalibog scored twice and Fannell added two more goals. Dailey-Chwalibog also had two assists in the quarter.
Fannell notched his fifth goal of the game in the third quarter and also had one assist in the contest. Zach Kozlowski scored his first goal of the season in the third for Adrian's final goal. Kevin Lerg got the start in goal and made five saves in the first half. Brett Farrelly also played 30 minutes in goal and also made five saves.
Cody Schmitt recorded seven ground balls and caused three turnovers. Kozlowski won 12 faceoffs in 21 attempts and also had nine ground balls. Adrian finished with 26 shots on goal and were 2-of-2 in extra-man chances while Olivet was 0-of-5.
