Men's Soccer Rolls Past Thunder

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's soccer team got back in the win column on Wednesday, Oct. 17, beating Trine 2-0 on the road in conference play.

THE BASICS

Records: Adrian 7-6 (4-1 MIAA), Trine 10-3-1 (3-2 MIAA)

HOW IT HAPPENED

Adrian wasted no time getting on the board, as senior Tad Davis gave the Bulldogs the lead in the second minute. Davis received the ball from fellow senior Zachary Roller just outside the box and beat the keeper to the far-right post for the goal.

The Black and Gold doubled their lead in the 53rd minute when Roller found the back of the net on a free kick. The ball was about 25 yards from goal on the right side of the field and Roller was able to bend it into the bottom left corner past the keeper for the match's final goal.

TOP DOGS

• Davis and Roller each scored a goal, while Roller added an assist.

• Junior goalkeeper Spencer Brown stopped both shots that made it on net in the clean sheet victory.

THE OPPOSITION

• Nooh Aljabaly lead the Thunder in shots with three.

UP NEXT

The Bulldogs return home on Saturday, Oct. 20 to host Alma for senior night at 7 p.m. in their last regular season home match of the year.
