TEMPE, Ariz.–-Nine Adrian College tennis players (four men, five women) were named All-America Scholars by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the 2017-18 season, tying an Adrian College tennis record. This is the fourth time in the last five years the Bulldogs have had nine ITA Scholar All-Americans.

The ITA requires players to be a varsity letter winner that season, have a grade-point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale, and be enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters to be named a Scholar All-American.

Both the men's and women's teams were also named All-Academic Teams by the ITA, giving the men its third academic team award and the women, fifth. The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team GPA of 3.20 or above on a 4.00 scale.

It is the first ITA Scholar All-American honor for all four men's players. The team was led in GPA by senior Kevin Hernandez, with a 3.85. Hernandez majored in History, with a minor in Literature. Sophomore Nolan Duda finished the year with a 3.78 GPA, majoring in social work. Sports Management major Ronald Ducharme had a 3.66 GPA in his freshman season, and Nathan Waterbury pulled a 3.64 in his sophomore year while studying Teacher Education.

The women's team had three repeat winners, as seniors Amber Laginess, Olivia Neumann, and Renae Almasy were ITA Scholar All-Americans during their sophomore year in 2016. Laginess led the team with a 3.96 GPA while finishing her studies majoring in Business Management. Biology major Neumann was second with a 3.89 GPA and Almasy had a 3.72, majoring in Business Administration.
