ADRIAN, Mich. - The women's lacrosse team bounced back from a loss yesterday with a 16-6 win over Denison University on Monday night (Mar. 14). The Bulldogs were playing their third game in four days, but it did not faze them as they jumped all over the Big Red in the first half leading 11-0 at the break. The Bulldogs scored five goals in the first 15 minutes and added six more goals in the second 15 minutes of the first half. Rachel Johnston scored all four of her goals in the first half. Stacey Birlson and Lindsey Day also each scored twice for Adrian.
Denison broke into the scoring column at 22:08 of the second half as Katherine Palms scored her seventh goal of the season. The Big Red outscored Adrian, 6-5, in the second half. The shot totals were 29-11 in favor of the Bulldogs for the game. AC also had 20 ground balls and 12 draw controls.
Mariana DiGiovanni scored twice on two shots on goal. Amanda Lambert had a goal and two assists. Olivia Duncan recorded two goals and two assists. Maddie Dugan scored her first collegiate goal in the second half. Jul Tehovnik made three saves in 49:58 and Amanda Faraone made two saves in the final 10:02.
