OLIVET, Mich. – The Bulldogs continued to battle their way through the MIAA Tuesday evening as they took on Olivet College. Adrian came out strong as they controlled all 60 minutes of action on their way to a 21-3 victory. This win advances their overall record to 8-5 and their MIAA record to 6-0.
The Bulldogs started quickly as they scored the first two goals of the game before the Comets scored. Adrian then followed this by scoring the final 11 goals of the first half as they took a commanding 13-1 lead to the break. Maddie Dugan scored two goals, Hannah Early and Sarah Connelly each scored three times, Brianna Plester added two goals, Christine Campbell tallied two scores, and TaShina Salas scored once.
The second half saw Adrian continue their dominance as they scored the first four goals of the half on their way to an 8-2 second half advantage. The Bulldogs controlled the second half as Salas scored four more goals, Plester and Dugan each added another, and Nicole Laflamme scored twice.
Jul Tehovnik (8-5) made the start in goal and earned the victory for Adrian as she made three saves and recorded one ground ball.
Brianna Plester scored three goals, added two assists, and compiled 13 draw controls. Hannah Early scored three goals, added one assist, and totaled seven draw controls. TaShina Salas scored five goals and added one assist.
The Bulldogs will see action again Thursday, April 24 when they host Trine University at 7 p.m.
