HOW IT HAPPENED
Adrian fell behind early in the game and wouldn't be able to come back and tie the game. Neither team shot well in the first half, with Case Western Reserve shooting 34.6% and holding the Bulldogs to just an 18.8% clip. The Black and Gold couldn't buy a deep ball in the first half, going 0-10 from behind the arc. With both teams struggling to fill the hoop, the first half was a low-scoring affair, with the Spartans leading 28-17 after the first 20 minutes.
The Bulldogs shot better in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome the early deficit. They seemed to find their touch from behind the arc in the second half, shooting 31.3% from three-point land in the second. Two Bulldogs hit double digit points in the second half, as sophomore guard Jordan Harris and junior guard Tre'Shon Heard each had 11 points after the break. Adrian's performance from the charity strip greatly improved from the last game as AC went 15-22 from the line.
• Harris and Heard led the team in points, with 13 and 11, respectively. Harris also led the team in assists with six.
• Freshman guard Kylon Jarreau led the team in rebounds, snatching nine boards in the contest, including four on the offensive end.
• Antonio Ionadi led CWRU with 19 points
• Michael Hollis was a monster on the boards, collecting 17 rebounds for the Spartans.
The Bulldogs are off until Saturday, Dec. 15 when they host Ohio Wesleyan at 3 p.m. in their final home game of the 2018 calendar year.
