ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's basketball team host the Alma Scots in a MIAA Conference matup. Prior to today's game the Bulldogs have won their last two conference games, but the streak was broken as Alma defeated the Bulldogs 83-72.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs trailed early in the game by a score of 11-2. Two free throws and a layup from Jordan Harris, and a three-pointer from Trey Helinski made the score 18-12. After Alma jumped up ten, Tyler Gillery hit from deep and Robert Warrick followed up with a layup to trail by five. Trailing 36-30, the Bulldogs scored on a jumper from Kendall Bellamy to make the Alma lead four. Alma finished the first half on a 13-0 run to go into halftime with a 48-32 lead.
The Bulldogs started the second half on fire. Adrian responded with a 9-0 run and eventually brought the Alma lead to just six points. After another run from Alma, the Bulldogs trailed by 15 with the score at 68-53. The Bulldogs responded with a 10-2 run led by back-to-back three-point shots from Harris to trail 70-63. After a layup from Gillery and two Adrian free throws, the Bulldogs trailed by five with under three minutes to play. Alma scored the next five points to lead by ten and eventually came away with the win by a score of 83-72.
The Bulldogs pick up MIAA conference play on the road at Kalamazoo on Wednesday, February 5 at 7:30 PM.
