ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's hockey team completed the weekend sweep of Concordia University Wisconsin following a 5-1 win on Saturday afternoon. Rose Krasofsky led the Bulldog offense with three points (1G, 2A) in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lexi Holman gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at the 7:41 mark of the first period. She was assisted on the play by Kristen Kennedy and Natasha Wanless. CUW goalie Breanna Thomson (L, 6-4-0) made some big saves to preserve the lead for much of the first period.
Adrian would get the equalizer in the final two minutes of the period when Tory Harshman scored on a Bulldog power play with 18:17 expired in the period. Adrian dictated the pace of play throughout the opening 20 minutes, holding a 17-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Jacqueline White gave the Bulldogs a cushion with a goal in the opening minute of the second period off assists from Rose Krasofsky and Kristi Zink. Olivia Fox added to the lead with two goals to finish the second, putting the Bulldogs up 4-1. The first came on assists from Sydney Daversa and Maggie Mitter; the second was from Mitter and Kelly O'Sullivan. Adrian added 12 shots in the second period to make the team total 29 after two; CUW added seven shots for a two period total of 11.
Krasofsky scored the final goal 6:17 into the third period to give the Bulldogs the 5-1 lead. O'Sullivan and Shelly Czarnowczan assisted on the goal. Adrian dominated play again in the period, holding the Falcons to no shots on goal while recording 19 to finish the game with a 48-11 advantage in shots.
• Krasofsky finished with a +2 and was 9-18 in faceoffs. She scored her goal on six shots.
• Fox was 5-12 in the faceoff dot and tallied a total of five shots, scoring twice.
• White shot twice and finished with a +2.
• Kate Turner (W, 14-5-1) saved 10 of the 11 shots she faced.
• Holman scored the team's lone goal while having a team-leading five shots in the game.
• Wanless and Kennedy registered assists.
• Thomson finished with 43 saves in the losing effort.
The Bulldogs scored one on four power-play attempts (.250) while killing off two of three CUW power plays.
Adrian remains at home next weekend to host Finlandia in a two-game weekend series. Game one is scheduled for Saturday, February 10 at 7:00 p.m., ET. That game is the Bulldog's "Pink the Rink" game.
